Sunday, May 24th, 2026 brought us to one of the Hudson Valley’s premier wedding venues, The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, New York. Sitting on a cliff overlooking the Hudson River, The Grandview is known for its beautiful view, elegant ballroom, and incredible service.
Rose and Ryan first heard about DJ Live the old-fashioned way, through an ad I ran on WeddingWire! From there, we started planning an amazing wedding day that included ceremony music, cocktail hour, reception entertainment, a Photo Booth, and some extra lighting to help bring the room to life.
Originally, the ceremony was supposed to take place outdoors overlooking the water. Unfortunately, due to the inclement weather, everything had to be moved inside. So we arrived extra early to make sure everything was set up properly and ready to go without any stress for the couple.

The ceremony itself turned out beautifully. Our good friend Reverend Lou from Hudson Valley Officiants officiated the ceremony, and as always, he did a fantastic job for Rose and Ryan.
After the ceremony, guests made their way into the cocktail hour space overlooking the Hudson River. Even with the weather outside, the food was delicious as always and the party vibe was building.
Once guests entered the ballroom for the reception, you could feel the energy starting to build. When it was time for introductions, I stepped outside to line up the wedding party, and they came in fired up and ready to celebrate to “All I Do Is Win.” The crowd immediately got into it, and the room came alive.
Rose and Ryan then made their grand entrance followed by their first dance, parent dances, and some heartfelt speeches from family and friends. Rose provided a really solid playlist that helped shape the night, and we filled in the gaps perfectly to keep the momentum moving all evening long.
Once the dance floor opened, it never slowed down.
The extra lighting helped create a fun party atmosphere, and the Photo Booth was busy throughout the night. Having the Photo Booth directly inside the ballroom always works best because guests stay connected to the party instead of disappearing into another room. People could jump in for photos and immediately get right back onto the dance floor.
One of the highlights of the evening came around 11 PM when The Grandview opened their famous wall curtain and revealed their incredible Viennese dessert tables. If you have ever been to a wedding at The Grandview, you already know this moment is always a showstopper. Guests rushed over to enjoy the unbelievable assortment of desserts while the party continued.
From start to finish, this was an awesome wedding. Great couple, great crowd, and a packed dance floor all night long. The staff at The Grandview was on point as always, and it was a pleasure helping Rose and Ryan celebrate such an important day.
Congratulations again to Rose and Ryan, and thank you for trusting DJ Live to be part of your wedding celebration!
Until next time,
Richie Gagliardi
