Sunday’s wedding for Julie and Michael at Westchester Manor was one of those celebrations that reminded me exactly why I love what I do.
What made this wedding extra special for me started long before the music began. Unlike many of our events that come through referrals, I first met this bride at the Westchester County Center bridal show. It’s always exciting meeting new couples there, and after celebrating with this amazing family and their friends all night long, I’m hoping this is the beginning of many future events together.
From the moment guests arrived, the energy was building. We provided music for the ceremony along with sound and lighting for the reception but there was one moment that completely stole the show.
The bride and groom’s first “Dance on a Cloud” was absolutely incredible.
As the dry ice rolled across the dance floor, it created the effect of the couple floating through the clouds together. The room went silent for a moment as everyone watched. It was elegant, emotional, and honestly one of the highlights of the entire evening.
Once the formalities ended, the dance floor stayed packed from beginning to end. I brought the percussion setup along, which always adds a fun live element to the party, and one of my favorite moments of the night happened when the bride and her father jumped on the drums together. The crowd absolutely loved it!
Another personal highlight for me was getting the opportunity to work alongside my good friend John, owner of Westchester Manor. John and I have known each other for more than 25 years, and it’s always a pleasure being back at his venue. If you’re searching for a beautiful place to host a wedding or special event, I highly recommend checking it out. The atmosphere is warm and elegant, the food is delicious, and John truly cares about making every event special while keeping things very reasonable for couples planning their big day.
