Friday night’s celebration for Jasmin and CJ took us to The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor in Hazlet, NJ, a boutique wedding venue with a beautiful ballroom, featuring an exquisite draped ceiling with chandeliers and a sweeping staircase perfect for a grand entrance.
This was my first time at The Gramercy, and I was immediately impressed. The cocktail hour space and ballroom looked incredible, and before even tasting the food, I turned to my staff and said, “The food is going to be good here.” Sure enough, it was excellent. The family-run venue really shined. I met Dean, the owner’s son, who was super nice and helpful.
It was also a special night because I spotted Lindsey and Sergio, a couple whose wedding I DJ’d last August at Marina Del Rey. Lindsey is now nine months pregnant! It is always so rewarding to see former brides and grooms after their big day, especially when they are starting a family. It makes me feel connected to their story.

For Jasmin and CJ’s big day, we provided live saxophone for the cocktail hour, sound, lighting, sparklers, a photo booth, percussion, and saxophone for the reception. The wedding had a Filipino flair, with the bridal party dressed in what appeared to be ceremonial attire.
The energy took off right from the introductions. The bridal party entered from the main entrance, and then Jasmin and CJ made their way down the grand staircase into the ballroom. We dropped “Let’s Groove Tonight” and the crowd instantly surrounded them on the dance floor. The energy was electric. People danced, cheered, and celebrated non-stop all night.
The bride and groom even took turns on the drums, joined by a few of their guests, while our saxophonist played alongside the party music right in the middle of the dance floor. Guests danced around our light-up sign, enjoyed the photo booth throughout the night, and kept the celebration going strong.
This wedding was a tremendous success. I highly recommend The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor for anyone planning a wedding in North Jersey. It is the perfect spot for a beautiful wedding.
Until next time,
