September 21 is always a favorite wedding date. The 21st night of September, made famous by Earth, Wind & Fire, is one of the most popular dates for couples and DJs alike. This year, Christina and Bradley celebrated their big day at the Surf Club in New Rochelle, and it was one for the books.
The ceremony took place outside under the gazebo, with perfect weather setting the tone. Christina and Bradley were referred to me by Michael, the general manager at the Surf Club, who I’ve known for over 20 years. From our first conversation, I knew this was going to be an incredible celebration.
They fully embraced the Earth, Wind & Fire theme, being introduced to “September” while the entire crowd cheered back after I asked, “Are you ready for the 21st night of September?” The energy in the room was electric, and the party never slowed down.
We provided music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, along with an incredible setup that included lighting, percussion, saxophone, sparklers, a photo booth, and even a disco ball. Guests danced all night, with the sax and drums becoming crowd favorites. Christina and Bradley even jumped on the drums themselves, making the moment even more special.
The night was filled with heartfelt speeches and memorable traditions, including a Polish bread and salt blessing from Grandma. Speaking of Grandma, she was on the dance floor all night long, showing everyone how it’s done!
As the evening came to a close, the father of the bride stopped me and said, “I have two more daughters. You’ll be hearing from me.” That was the perfect ending to an unforgettable night.
If you’re searching for an amazing wedding venue with both indoor and outdoor beauty, reach out to Michael at the Surf Club. He and his team know how to create the perfect setting for a celebration.
Until next time,
