What a perfect day for Riley and Alex’s wedding at the DCA Meadowlands in Darien, Connecticut. This place is a hidden gem. It has beautiful grounds, a great flow from ceremony to reception, and just the right size for an intimate wedding. If you’re planning something in the area, definitely give it a look and ask for Courtney. She’s awesome.
Ceremony & Cocktail Hour
We handled all the music for the day, starting with the ceremony out in the garden. Riley had asked for live violin, and our violinist Jon absolutely crushed it. We set him up with a mic and speaker for the ceremony, and then for cocktail hour, he strolled around the garden playing wirelessly. The guests loved it and his music really set the tone.
The Party
After cocktails, guests headed inside to the ballroom, where 109 of Riley and Alex’s friends and family were ready to party. The couple came in to “Accidentally in Love,” and the energy in the room was instant. You could tell everyone was genuinely excited for them.
After a few great toasts and dinner, we kicked off the dancing. We had our standard DJ setup with live percussion, and the dance floor stayed packed all night. One of the highlights—Riley’s mom jumped on the drums at one point, which was a blast. Riley and Alex spent most of the night in the center of it all, dancing with their friends around them.
One for the Books
The weather was perfect, the vibe was amazing, and it was just a great group of people. Couldn’t have asked for a better night. Big congrats to Riley and Alex—thanks for letting us be a part of your day!
Until next time,
