Some weddings are beautiful. Some are wild. And every once in a while, there’s one that is truly legendary. Jessica and Joe’s wedding last night at the Glen Island was exactly that, one for the record books.
From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be a special night. One of the first people I saw was my lifelong friend and one of the best in the business, photographer Ricky Restiano. Ricky is the gold standard. We’ve worked together countless times, and his energy, creativity, and professionalism never fail. If you’re looking for a top-tier wedding photographer, Ricky’s your guy, no question.
Jessica and Joe didn’t hold back when it came to planning this celebration. We provided sound for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as lighting, sparklers, a custom gobo, and a photo booth. With over 200 guests in attendance, the energy was electric from the very beginning.
One of the most unforgettable moments happened before Jessica even walked down the aisle. She had recorded a 90-second voice note that played for the guests and for Joe, who stood waiting up front. In it, she thanked everyone for being there and delivered a heartfelt message to her groom. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It was emotional, personal, and so uniquely her. Then, as the couple walked back up the aisle as husband and wife, Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)” filled the air. It was the perfect touch.
Cocktail hour was awesome. The sun was shining and the views of the water were incredible. As the house DJ at Glen Island, I’m lucky enough to play there often, and I can confidently say it’s one of the premier spots in all of Westchester for a wedding.
From there, guests moved into the beautifully designed reception room, and the party really began. Jessica had put together a detailed playlist (some songs down to the minute and second!) and had a clear vision: keep the dance floor packed all night and play as many of her favorite songs as possible. We met several times to map it all out.
We introduced the newlyweds with an explosion of energy and, per Jessica’s request, invited all guests to join them immediately on the dance floor. That moment lit the spark that carried through the entire night. From the first song to the last, the floor was alive. Whether it was classic party anthems, modern hits, or personal favorites, the crowd didn’t miss a beat. Hands in the air, smiles everywhere, and feet that just didn’t stop moving.
The energy in that room was unreal. It was one of those nights where everyone was having the time of their life.
