Friday night, June 27th, we were back at Glen Island Harbor Club for Jessica and Vincent’s wedding, and let me tell you, every time I work a wedding at Glen Island, it feels like a perfect 10. I honestly don’t know how these events could get any better. That’s a testament to how flawlessly Glen Island runs the show, but also the vibe we bring as a team. It’s the perfect combo for an unforgettable night, and this wedding was no exception.
Jessica and Vincent put so much thought into every detail. They hired us for live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, plus music for the party itself, which included an extra hour for desserts! There were so many highlights I don’t even know where to start!
For the ceremony, our amazing piano player Ronnie brought his keyboard, and Jessica wanted to add violin to the mix. So Ronnie’s niece, Santina, who happens to be an American Idol finalist, joined him and played violin alongside him. They made an incredible piano and violin duo that set the perfect tone for the day.
After the ceremony, guests moved inside for cocktail hour, where Ronnie took over the baby grand piano. Santina, though not officially contracted for that part, was so excited to keep playing for Jessica and Vincent that she stayed and performed a few songs with him. The atmosphere was fantastic.
Throughout the night, I kept bumping into guests for whom I’d DJ’d previous weddings. At one point, Jessica said to me, “You’re our family DJ.” That’s probably the best compliment I could ever get.
After cocktail hour, guests transitioned into the Terrace Room, where we had video screens, beautiful lighting, sparklers, TV’s, and our Photo Booth ready to roll.
The reception kicked off with an absolutely electric intro. The bridesmaids and groomsmen came in pumped up, waving my light-up sign that reads “THE PARTY STARTS NOW.”

Then Jessica and Vincent made their entrance, both dancing, setting off a roar from the crowd. From the first dance, we launched into a high-energy dance set, and the dance floor stayed packed for five straight hours.
One of the special touches of the night was during the parent dances. While the bride danced with her dad, we played a slideshow of photos of them together through the years on our video screens. The same for Vincent and his mom during their dance. And during dinner, we showed a montage of Jessica and Vincent’s journey together over the years.
The sparklers and our brand-new disco ball added an awesome vibe to the room. We danced all the way to the last song “New York, New York” – possibly a nod to the Yankees and the many Yankees fans in the room.
Overall, I truly don’t see how this event could have been any better. Huge kudos to Rocco and the staff of Glen Island for always delivering perfection, and a shoutout to my staff who never get enough credit for making nights like this happen.
If you’re considering Glen Island for your wedding, know that you’re in for a guaranteed 10 out of 10 event.
Until next time,
