Some weddings just feel extra special, and this one was definitely one of them. On July 5th, I had the pleasure of being part of Jasmine and Brett’s unforgettable celebration at The Barn at Villa Venezia in Middletown, NY. This event came to me through family, my wife’s cousin Jacqueline was in the bridal party alongside her longtime boyfriend, Kyle. It’s always a great time when you get to perform for family and friends, and this wedding was no exception.
From the very first time I spoke with Jasmine, I could tell she had a clear vision for her wedding day and music was at the heart of it. She wanted to incorporate live music throughout the evening to create an elegant atmosphere.
We started with the ceremony, where our pianist Ronnie and violinist Dave set the tone with beautiful live music during the prelude. The most touching moment came when Jasmine walked down the aisle to a recording of a piece performed by her late grandfather, a world-class violinist. It was a nice tribute, and an unforgettable way to begin the evening. The ceremony concluded with the traditional breaking of the glass, kicking off what would be an incredible night.
During cocktail hour, we brought in a three-piece jazz band (keyboard, upright bass, and drums) for a classic Frank Sinatra vibe that matched the venue perfectly.
Once it was time to party, guests moved into the main room for dinner and dancing. We brought in live percussion and sax to complement the DJ sets, keeping the dance floor packed and the energy high all night long. We also added uplighting around the room, sparklers, and video screens to showcase a custom montage of the bride and groom during dinner.
Jasmine and Brett went above and beyond to create a fun experience for their guests, surprising everyone with two photo booths, an ice cream truck just outside the entrance, and even a fireworks display in celebration of Fourth of July weekend. Every detail was thought out, personal, and totally them.
Big thanks to my entire team for helping make it all happen. From ceremony to last dance, this wedding was perfect.
