Last night’s wedding for Isabella and John at the Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck, New York, was absolutely unforgettable. The club sits right on the Long Island Sound, with beautiful grounds, a grand ballroom, and a sophisticated setting perfect for weddings and special events.
This one was special for me. The Director of Catering, Dorothy, who’s a longtime friend, referred me for this wedding. I hadn’t played at Hampshire in quite some time and was excited to see how they handled weddings. I’ve always known them for bar mitzvahs, but after last night, I can say this: Hampshire Country Club should be one of the busiest wedding venues in Westchester.
Everything about this space worked beautifully. The lobby and bar area are elegant, the cocktail space is warm and inviting, and the ballroom is stunning. It’s perfectly designed for a large setup like ours. We provided music for the cocktail hour, full sound and lighting for the reception (on stage), a custom gobo, and a photo booth. The ceiling draperies glowed under our lighting, and the acoustics were perfect. The food and service were excellent. Dorothy and her team were flawless. I’ll be recommending this venue to all my future clients.
As for Isabella and John, their guests came ready to celebrate. From the first song, the energy was through the roof. After their introductions and first dance, we jumped right into a 30-minute dance set. That truly set the tone and the dance floor stayed packed all night. The bridal party led the way and kept the momentum high. Between the emotional toasts and nonstop dancing, this was one of those nights you never forget.
The room, the lighting, and the crowd energy were all incredible. This one was truly one for the record books!
